New Music Mondays

Every week (every Monday... ah-haaa), King will be digging up some new music that we're going to feature on our blog. We will be posting new tracks from the Goodlife fam and some from elsewhere. Wherever we get it, trust us, they'll be hot. This week's new shit are coming from two of our very own:

King released to two new tracks last week (I know, I'm perpetually late... m'baaad. You know you have to be remindin me). Cruisin and Where You Are ft. Decay. Check out King's Reverbnation at www.reverbnation.com/chicityking, while you're there, become a fan.

Next up is our very own DJ Dysfunktion who heating up soundcloud with his new track Fire. Visit his website at www.djdysfunktion.com for more. Speaking of Dj Dysfunktion, he and Jus' Sam are currently working together on their project: The AV Club . They also have a track up called I Want Love that you can check out on their new myspace: www.myspace.com/virgins4lyfe . (What happened to Beaver Outlawz *frown* lol)

That's all we have for you this week folks, but check back next Monday, and the Monday after, and the Monday after and... well you get it.. because this feature will become bigger and better. If you'd like to submit new music for us to feature, you can do so by e-mailing me at ma.ferrer84@gmail.com.

Enjoy your work week. At least it's a short one. Peace.

Goodlife Luh' The Bulls

6-Game winning streak. Apparently everyone and their mamas were at the game last night and I missed it. Anyway, Derek Rose aka mybabydaddy for MVP, thanks.

And now from the front office...

(aka marie's room)

First and foremost, we'd like to thank everyone who came out to support King and Goonie J during their performances last month. Although he rocked it solo on stage at Sylvie's Lounge on November 18th, it was King's first performance as a member of Goodlife Music Group. We were expecting nothing less than a dope set, and that's what he delivered. We're definitely looking forward to more from you. Welcome to Goodlife, King! (I'm like a month or two late, but I'm always late so, yeah). Now, I wasn't at the Bradley U show for Goonie J but I heard he killed it as usual. Special thanks to Jacob Cuevas for making that possible (and I really did love the flyer. You gon' put me out of a job, son). I heard it was an insane night, I'm jealous I wasn't there.

In other news...

As you know, it's winter in this damn wonderland. If you didn't see the snow and feel that breeze this morning, sumwrongwitchu. I love this city with all my heart, but fuck this weather though. Just sayin. Anyway, at the GL Studio that means there's a lot of work being done. There are quite a few things we're working on at the moment:

  • Goonie J is currently working on finishing his mixtape titled "Hip Hop Junior". As far at the actual release date, please stay tuned to his twitter here or check back on our blog. This is one you won't want to miss.

  • Fayze is putting together a project he is calling "Goodlife Presents: The Expendables" (release date TBD). I know y'all have seen the movie. They threw all our favorite action stars into one crazy ass movie. Even The Governator took the time from his marijuana-legalizing schedule to make an appearance. They missed my two favorites though: Chuck Norris and JCVD. Of course then it would just be called The Chuck Norris Movie. What? Ok, I'm getting off topic here. A.D.D. like a motherfucker. Anyway, Fayze's "The Expendables" is the same concept. He is throwing some of Chicago's finest emcees and producers into one crazy ass project. From what he's discussed with me, it's going to be pretty hot so again, stay tuned

  • Jus' Sam is currently putting some of his beats up for sale. Hit up his facebook or see his twitter for more info

  • I guess this belongs on here too: I am opening my website to offer my design services. Please visit www.16thirtyone.com for more details.

Oh and as you can see, it's looking a little different in here. I'm trying to have the full site up by the time 2011 comes around. I'm looking for contributors to our blog and I want someone to do a weekly video log for the site. I'm not doing it because, although it would be fucking hysterical, I have an annoying voice with a face to match so if anyone wants to volunteer, hit me up. Also, if anyone would like their links on our site, I'm sure we can work something out. For any questions or to contribute to the Goodlife Blog please e-mail me at ma.ferrer84@gmail.com

That's all, stay warm and come back to check on those release dates.
